Stephanie Hastings

Project title: Adapting DBT skills for adolescents with ASD.

Stephanie Hastings qualified as a Social Worker in 1991 and has since worked in Local Authority, voluntary sector and Health services settings.  She is an accredited CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) therapist currently working clinically for BCUHB in a community CAMHS team, and teaching and supervising in  CBT and DBT to a range of professionals both locally (via Bangor University) and nationally (as part of British Isles  DBT team).   She is studying part-time for a PhD focused on adapting DBT skills for pupils with ASD in secondary education under the supervision of Dr Michaela Swales and Professor Carl Hughes.
